I Hate Snow

This is what us here in Iowa were greeted with this morning as we looked out the window drinking a nice hot cup of coffee. I snorted coffee out my nose while I watched this unfold in front of me.

Every year I dislike winter more then the year before. Often asking myself why I put up with this stuff? But the truth is I like living in Iowa verse some of the rat races in warmer climates. I got to admit though, right now a tent in the middle of the south west desert sounds mighty inviting.

Stay warm!

That is too funny! I remember in High School having to wake up really early to go and dig my car out of the snow, I do not miss it. Our mountains got some snow and it looks pretty from here, but I'm glad it doesn't get this low.

Looks cold to me, it's 27 here today but it's over 50 and 60 the next two days. Sounds like riding weather to me.

I agree - Moving to the North - CleveLand after 10 years in NC seems insane, in fact when people ask - where are you moving from, and I tell them, they just look at me and say "Why?" It was supposed to get to 19 degrees today, Oh Joy!!! Great Video

That was perfect. I grew up in snow. Sometimes I miss it...then I see something like this and I am instantly over the fond memories!

Ah, memories. I hate snow, too. That's why I live in the desert southwest now! Come on out and put up your tent! :)

Snorting Coffee out your nose makes you forget about winter for a moment doesn't it?

We've been under snow and ice for a couple of days. Katie's chained me to the porch so I won't go try to ride. I told her all we needed to do was go buy a KLR with really agressive tires. She prefers the chain. At least the laptop has it's own battery so I can keep myself entertained on the porch.

Thanks for the post!

As I sit here typing this, I just finished digging my driveway out from under 24 inches of snow that fell in the last 30 hours, Miserable. Now the temperature is going to drop to below zero for the next couple of days, by Sunday, the Weatherman is promising another six inches.

Shoveling the snow this afternoon, I toyed with my sisters offer of moving to Orlando. Even in the misery of this white stuff, I can't do it, I love the Pacific Northwest too much.

Glad everyone enjoyed the laugh. The part where the guy’s feet fly in the air is when I lost my coffee. Only because I can relate to it so well.

Earl I will stop complaining of the snow we get from here on out after reading what you just went through. At least for this winter!

This was great. Good way to start my day. I did that for my wife an hour or so ago. Thank goodness it was her car. That fella must be one of those running the big 3.

I haven't seen snow like that in years!! I wish it snowed more over here, but once again they're saying there will be no white chrismas. Not run for riding though! x

I am originally from the Davenport, IA area (Illinois side actually) and truly miss the snow. Now living in Vegas, the riding season is practically year round. That said, I would rather give up a month or two of riding every year to experience a real winter.

I wonder if studded tires would work on a Sportster... I wonder...

That's a riot. We got 8 to 10 inches here on New Year's Eve. I just look at my bike in the garage and ::sigh::
